J.R. Todd Qualifies #2
J.R. Todd qualifies in the #2 spot at the NHRA Torco Racing Fuel Naitonals at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, VA  and went to the semifinal in the eliminations on Sunday, October 15, 2006  losing against Hot Rod Fuller.

The NHRA National meet that was scheduled for Oct 8, 2006 at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, VA was rained out and has been rescheduled for October 13 - 15, 2006.

"J.R. Todd Does It Again"
J.R. Todd wins his 3rd career victory in Top Fuel against Melanie Troxel at the Toyo Tires NHRA National at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA on Sunday, October 1, 2006.  He has a good chance at being named Rookie of the year for 2006.  His next race is scheduled for Oct 8, 2006 at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, VA.

"J.R. Todd Makes History"
On July 16, 2006 J.R. Todd made drag racing history by becoming the first African American to win a final in Top Fuel at a National NHRA Event.
JR's win came against Tony Schumacher at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA National at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, CO.

Two weeks later, J.R. Todd defeated Tony Schumacher yet another time for the final victory,
 to clinch his  2nd Top Fuel win at the Fram Autolite NHRA Nationals at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA.
We CONGRATULATE  J.R. Todd for a job well done.

(Tom Hammonds & Larry Nance)  to name two.

Speaking of Tom Hammonds,
In the 2007 NHRA Racing Season, Tom Hammonds will be returning to the scene in
a Rick Jones-built Chevy Cobalt in the Pro Stock Class.
 Tom Hammonds played for 12 seasons in the NBA and started racing in 1996, 5 years later retiring.

Sticking with the Professional Athletics
Duce Staley, Running Back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has announced that he will be the owner of  a two-car Pro Stock team (Catch 22 Motorsports) in the 2007 NHRA Powerade Drag Racing Series
He has selected Jim Yates and Billy Gibson as his drivers.


Currently there are Two  'Brothers' competing in the Pro Stock Motorcycles Class:
Antron Brown
Michael Phillips

 Our Congratulations goes out to Antron Brown
for his high standing in the points for Pro Stock Motorcycles.  
Let's  wish him well as he finishes off the remainder of the season.
  And with Luck he will re-gain his number one spot in the points.
