Fellow racer Jim Evans passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006.  Jim Evans was a long time racer at Capitol Raceway and he will truly be missed.  We would like to express our sympathy to the Evans Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

"Terrell Sinkler Goes to the Final Round"
Terrell Sinkler goes to the final round in Top E.T. eliminations in a ten round race on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Maryland International Raceway in his Dragster. Sources say that Terrell had six consecutive 5.0 lights during eliminations.  We Congratulate Terrell on his outstanding performance.  

"Laster Boys from New Jersey Goes to the Semi-Final Round"
The Laser Boys also faired well on Saturday as they made it  to the semi-final round in their 2000 Cressman built dragster sponsored by Jerry Sutton.  We Congratulate the Laser Boys on making it to the semi-finals.
Congratulations also goes out to Tony Graves, driver of the  (M&T) Chevy Nova owned by Michael Turner,  for winning six rounds in eliminations on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Maryland International Raceway.

"Carlton Thorton Wins  #2 in Points in ET Raiders Challenge"
  
On Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Maryland International Raceway, Carlton Thorton in his "Who's Next" Junior Dragster clinches the #2 spot in the Points in the ET Raiders Challenge Series missing the #1 spot by two round wins.
 Carlton won the 2006 Race of Champions at Mason Dixon Raceway in Hagerstown, MD.   Carlton also finished #1 in the points at Virginia Motorsport Park in Petersburg, VA  in the Junior Dragster Class.   We Congratulate this young brother for a job well done.  Keep up the good work.

"Robert Barbour goes Three Consecutive  8.07s in Eliminations"
On Saturday, October 14,2006 at Capitol Raceway Robert "Jeff" Barbour driver of the Reggie Powered Dodge Avenger own by Reggie Roderick ran three consecutive 8.07s in eliminations losing in the sixth round.

"Plater Racing Debuts Their New Olds Cutlass"
David Plater & family debut their new Olds Cutlass on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Capitol Raceway.  Members  of the Plater family came out in full force on Saturday.  It's really nice when a brother has the full support of his family behind him.
