Travis Harvey 2013 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year in ADRL Pro Mod/Top Dragster

Travis Harvey accomplished a task that very few racers have done. Travis finished #2 in
both Pro Mod and Top Dragster in the 2013 American Drag Racing League (ADRL) Tour.
Travis was also featured in an article in Drag Illustrated (Aug/Sept 2013 -Issue 8)

Antron Brown - Top Fuel Dragster
Antron Brown finished the 2012 NHRA season #1 in the points in Top Fuel Dragster; earing him the title of “2012 NHRA Top Fuel Dragster Champion.” Antron also became the first African-American driver in history to win a NHRA title.


William Brown III - Top Sportsman
William Brown III made his mark in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) Top Sportsman class in 2012. Finishing #2 in the points in Top Sportsman and picking up the win in the ADRL World Finals.


Wesley Washington Jr. - Top Dragster
Wesley Washington Jr. won the title of "2012 IHRA Top Dragster World Champion". Making final round appearances at Atco Dragway; Bristol Raceway, Capitol Raceway, Maryland Intl Raceway and Skyview Dragway just to name a few.


G-Man Dyson - Top Eliminator
G-Man Dyson had an remarkable season winning the Mopar Eastern Classic at Maryland Intl Raceway -Oct 27th Oktober Fest Invitational Race at Capitol Raceway - Oct 13th Friday Night Invitational Race at Capitol Raceway - July 27th Quick 8 Class at Capitol Raceway - June 16th.


Richard Alford Jr. - Mod Eliminator
Richard Alford Jr. won the "IHRA Division 9 Mod Eliminator Champion" for the 2nd year in a row. Richard also earned the title of "Mod ET Track Champion" at Fayetteville Motorsports Park. Richard won the 20K Race at the American Doorslammer Natls (Nov 3-4th) at Fayetteville Motorsports Park. And he won a $5k Race at Coastal Plains Dragway (Nov 23-24th).


Shayne Proctor - Pro Bike
Shayne Proctor doubled up wins at (2) MIROCK Superbike Series Events; one at Rockingham NC Dragway (Nov. 3-4th) and the other at Maryland Intl Raceway (Sept. 30th). Shayne was also Motorcycle Track Champion at Old Dominion Dragway. Shayne has had several final round victories at various tracks (Atco Raceway, Capitol Raceway, Colonial Beach Dragway, Maryland Intl Raceway, Old Dominion Dragway and Rackingham Dragway) during the 2012 race season.

LARRY BOWLES 2011 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year Top Sportsman Larry had a great season doubling up on wins at Sumerduck Dragway on August 20th and at Colonial Beach Dragway on October 9th.. Taking the win in both Top Sportsman and Top Eliminator at both events.


WESLEY WASHINGTON, JR. 2011 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year Top Eliminator - Open Body Wesley Washington had an amazing season claiming 8 final round victories out of 12 final round finishes.. Which includes: 2011 IHRA Division 1 Top Dragster Championship 2011 ET Raiders Top Eliminator Championship And a number of big money races.


DELANTE GREEN 2011 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year Top Eliminator - Door Car Delante showed off his skills in 2011 with 3 wins , 4 final round appearances and a number of semi-final round finishes.


SHAYNE PROCTOR 2011 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year Pro Bike Shayne Proctor and the Mobile Lab Racing Teams had a great season. Shayne took home the title of 2011 Track Champion in Pro Bike at Maryland International Raceway.

We Congratulate Larry, Wesley, Delante and Shayne on an outstanding race season.

at our 5th Annual Quarter Mile Brother Greet and Meet.

2010 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year Goes to...

DERRICK TOWNES - Pro Mod

Derrick Townes is this years Quarter Mile Brother of the Year in Pro Mod.
Derrick is the owner and the driver of a 1968 Pro Mod Camaro with a Blown Alcohol motor. Derrick is one of a few brothers who competites in the field of Pro Mod.
Derrick finished #3 in the points in the the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod series.

TERRY LOGAN - Top Sportsman

Terry Logan is QMB's pick for Top Sportsman of the Year.
Terry won the Iron Man in the Top Sportsman Class
at the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour Patriot Division 1.
Terry finished runner-up in Top Sportsman at the IHRA Summit Tournament
of Champions World Finals. This is a feat that very few have accomplished.
Making him worthy of the title of Quarter Mile Brother of the Year in Top Sportsman.

TARRELL SINKLER - Top Eliminator (Open Body)

Tarrell Sinkler has been awarded the QMB Top Eliminator (Open Body)
for his outstanding performance in Top Eliminator. Tarrell finished #1 in the points at his home track. Tarrell not only performed well at home, but showed of his skills away from home; going several rounds in competition at various tracks.

DELANTE GREEN - Top Eliminator (Door Car)

Delante Green does it again. Taking the title of Quarter Mile Brother of the Year for the 3rd straight year. Delante finishes the season with (5) final round finishes. Making him our pick for the title of "Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" in Top Eliminator.

WILL MITCHELL - Honorary Top Eliminator

Will Mitchell was selected as QMBs Honorary Top Eliminator for 2010.
Will along with his team mate Bryan Norman had an outstanding season
with (5 ) final round finishes placing him #1 in the points in late July.
But it was all taken away from them for what we feel were unwarranted reasons.
Will is an excellent driver and is truly worthy of this award.
Will they may try to knock you down but we will be there to hold you up.
You've done well my Brother.

RUSSELL OSBORNE - Foot Brake

Russell Osborne is our pick for QMB of the Year in Footbrake.
Russell has been in (8) finals this year with (7) wins. And to top that off
their has been (3) occassions where Russell has been in the final in (2)
difference classes at the same race. Russell's record speaks for its self.

TONY REDDIX - Drag Radial

Tony Reddix clinched the title of
"2010 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" in Drag Radial.
Tony had an outstanding season taking the points win at Capitol Raceway
and claiming the crown as "Track Champion" in Drag Radial. Tony had
(8) final round appearances with (7) wins and (1) runner-up finish.
This is why Tony was chosen as our "Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" in Drag Radial.

KEVIN "BIG KEV" RICHARDSON - Pro Bike

Kevin "Big Kev" Richardson, two time Quarter Mile Brother of the Year,
does it again. You can't take this away from the brother. Big Kev has won (9) races
with (4) runner-up finishes making it a total of (13) final round finishes in 2010.
Big Kev's record speaks for its self. The brother is bad !

ORAL CHAMBERS JR. - 2010 Rookie of the Year (Door Car)

Oral Chambers Jr. claims the title of Rookie of the Year (Door Car).
Oral had a great rookie season. Going several rounds at multiple racing and picking up his first win of his racing career. We are looking for great things from this young driver.

JOHN DOUGLAS JR. - 2010 Rookie of the Year (Open Body)

John Douglas Jr. is honored with the title of Rookie of the Year (Open Body).
John also had a great rookie season. Showing the competition that he was no push over.
Winning numerous rounds and making his mark in the drag racing arena.

TONY WASHINGTON - Most Supportive Racer

Tony Washington was selected as Quarter Mile Brother of the Year -
Most Supportive Racer. Tony has been in attendance at all of the
Quarter Mile Brother Top Sportsman Quick 32 Events.
And for that we feel he is truly worthy of this award.
Tony we appreciate your dedication and continued support.

Leon Robertson came on the scene when he was only 16 and his family
says he's been going for it every since. Leon participated in (3) classes this season (Pro; Sportsman & Super Pro). Leon races out of the Music City Raceway, Goodlettsville, TN and Beech Bend Dragway,Bowling Green, KY .
At these tracks they have a class called
Pro which is Footbrake and Sportsman which is non-electronic and
off the foot which you can run whatever you want; including dragsters
as long as its off the foot. Allow us to share Leon's race record for 2009:

We selected Will Mitchell as our "2008 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" In Top ET (Open Body) because of his true determination and drive to win (5) finals to claim the title of "Track Champion" at Capitol Raceway. One of those (5) wins was in the Natl Dragster Challenge race; which allowed Will to competite in the Race of Champions were he finished in the runner-up position.

We selected Delante Green as our "2008 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" in Top ET (Door Car) because of his numerous wins at his home track of Colonial Beach Dragway and for his wins at Sumerduck Speedway; Maryland International Raceway (Mophar Eastern Classic). Delante showed us that he has what it takes to win at any track.

"2008 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" In Mod ET

Rufus Hill was our pick for "2008 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" in Mod ET for his outstanding performance at Colonial Beach Dragway, appearing numerous times in the winner's circle. Rufus won the title of "King of the Beach" winning in Mod ET both days during that event. Rufus was also awarded the title of "Track Champion" in Mod ET.

Kev Richardson
"2008 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" in Motorcycle

We selected Kev Richardson as our "2008 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" in Motorcycle because of his amazing performance at Northeast Dragway. Kev finished the season with 10 wins and clinch the #1 spot in the points with over 300 points to claim the title as the Motorcycle "Track Champion" at Northeast Dragway.

QMB would like to Congratulate Will, Delante, Rufus and Kev

2007 Quarter Mile Brother of the Year Goes to
Wesley Washington, Jr.

Wesley Washington Jr. has had a great 2007 racing season. Wesley has been in the finals at several tracks this year (ATCO, Colonial Beach, Farmington, MIR and Piedmont). Wesley was the winner of the Big Money Race at ATCO in August. And he finished the season #1 in the points in Top Eliminator at Maryland Intl Raceway. We would like to Congratulate Wesley by naming him our "Quarter Mile Brother of the Year" for 2007.

2006 QMB ROOKIE OF THE YEAR GOES TO

"JERRON SETTLES"

Jerron Settles made his debute in drag racing in 2006 driving his EJ Parker sponsored Dragster. Jerron finished in the top 20 in points out 300 cars in Florida. He won a $5,000 meet at Atco Raceway and finished 8th place in the points in the ET Raiders Series. Not bad for his first year out. We congratulate this young bracketeer and crown him our "QMB Rookie of the Year for 2006".

Jerron is not only a great racer he is also one of the top custom painters on the eastcoast, check out the paint job on his dragster. This young brother has really got it going on.

2006 QMB JUNIOR DRAGSTER DRIVER OF THE YEAR GOES TO

"CARLTON THORTON"

Carlton Thorton was #2 in the points in the ET Raiders Series. Carlton won the 2006 Race of Champions at Mason Dixon Raceway in Hagerstown, MD. Carlton also finished #1 in the points at Virginia Motorsport Park in Petersburg, VA in the Junior Dragster Class. We congratulate this young brother and crown him our "QMB Junior Dragster Driver of the Year for 2006".
