Dobbins, Duncan & Johnson Does It Again at Milan Dragway

The 2006 Ford Escort Pro Stock owned by Kevin Duncan and James Johnson and driven by Jeff Dobbins qualified in the #1 position with a 6.294 pass at 222.40 mph at the IHRA Motor City Nationals held at the Milan Dragway in Milan, MI, May 23-25, 2008. Dobbins faced off against Pete Berner in the final round running a 6.36 @ 219 to Berner's losing 6.33 @ 220; Dobbins beat Berner off the tree with a .031 reaction time. Dobbins also became the fifth member of the Jerry Haas Race Cars 6.20's Club, an exclusive club honoring the first eight Pro Stock drivers to break the 6.30 barrier in sanctioned IHRA competition. The next race on schedule for the IHRA Nitro Jam Series will be at Maryland Intl Raceway for the Torco President's Cup Nationals scheduled for June 13-15.
