Wesley Washington, Jr. Does It Again

For the second week in a row,  Wesley has been in the money rounds.  On Saturday, April 28, 2007 Wesley made it to the quarterfinals at the $50,000 Big Bucks Bonanza Race at Farmington Raceway in Farmington, NC.  On Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Maryland International Raceway Wesley got down to the last three cars.

Wesley is truly on a roll and we wish him continued success.

Barry Logan & Robert "Jeff" Barbour Took Home Their Share Of The Money
 
Barry Logan in his 1969 Camaro and Robert "Jeff" Barbour in his "Reggie Powered" Dodge Avenger took home their share of the money in Class I at the "National Dragster Challenge" at Capitol Raceway on Saturday, April 28, 2007.  The race was stopped at the start of the fourth round because of rain. The money was split with the remaining racers in Class I. The "National Dragster Challenge" has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2007 with $3,000 and an Ironman Trophy going to the winner in Class I.

We Congratulate Barry and Jeff on being the last "Brothers" standing.
Wesley Washington, Jr. Gets Part Of A Three Way Split
Wesley Washington, Jr. got down to the last three cars in Top ET at a $5,000 Race on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Maryland International Raceway.  With only three cars left in the race; the racers decided to split the purse.
 We Congratulate Wesley on his outstanding performance.


Henry Butler Wins the Southern Outlaw Door Slammers

Hustlin Henry Butler wins the Southern Outlaw Door Slammers "Run What U Brung" on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Colonial Beach Dragway.  We Congratulate Henry on winning the first race of the Southern Outlaw Door Slammers.  The next race is scheduled for Saturday, May 12th at Colonial Beach Dragway.

Congratulates go out to Marc Hayes for qualify #1 with a 4.31 @ 174 mph.




Chris Waters and Ash Hayward Face Off In The Finals

  

    Chris Waters and Ash Hayward  face off in the finals in the Motorcycle Class at Capitol Raceway on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Chris Waters running a 9.33 @146 mph turning on the win light after a red light start for Ash Hayward.
We Congratulate Chris and Ash for making it an all "Brother" Final.



Frank Gaines Returns to Drag Racing After a 22 Year Retreat


   
Frank Gaines makes an appearance at Capitol Raceway on Saturday, April 21, 2007 after a 22 year retreat from Drag Racing.  Frank sporting his 1968 Camaro made two passes down the quarter mile on Saturday,  his 1st pass was a 9.85 @131 mph; improving on his 2nd pass running a 9.38 @ 143 mph.

  We congratulate Frank on a great come back.  



Al Harris and Paul Harrod Go Four Rounds in Class I

 

Al Harris in his 1970 Dodge Dart and Paul Harrod in his 1989 Chevy Camaro goes four rounds in a seven round race in Class I at Capitol Raceway on Saturday, April 21, 2007.  We congratulate Al and Paul on a gallant effort.


Parnell Stewart Wins the Motorcycle Class

Parnell Stewart of the "Hate It or Love It Racing" team wins the first points meet at Capitol Raceway for 2007 in the motorcycle class on Saturday, March 31, 2007.  We extend congratulations to Parnell and his team on the season's first victory.  We wish the team continued success.


Horse Goes (4) Consecutive 8.41 During Eliminations

   

 Wilton "Horse" Wallace Jr goes (4) consecutive 8.41 in his "Reggie Powered" Camaro during eliminations at Capitol Raceway on Saturday, March 31, 2007.  Tank and Horse, the father and son team, put on a great show.  Losing in the final round in a very close race in Class I.

We congratulate Horse and the team for an outstanding performance.
