Results on the "Brothers" from the OSBA's Fall Throwdown
at Virginia Motorsports Park

The Outlaw Small Block Association (OSBA) held their "Fall Throwdown "at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, VA on Saturday & Sunday, November 1 & 2, 2008.

Bill Harris, won the OSBA Unlimited Class championship and gets the bragging rights as the OSBA "Small Block Of The Year". Bill also set a new ET record for the class going 4.631@ 153.86. It was backed up with a 4.689 @ 154.02.

Garrett Shell from Petersburg, VA driving his Ford Mustang made it to the Semi Finals in Class C/2 on Saturday, November 1, 2008.

Marc "Tony" Chambliss of Petersburg, VA won the Springfield Custom's "Best Reaction Time" award reward. Tony had a .013 in the second round on Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Mike Hills Takes Win Over the #1 Qualifier at the
Real World St
reet Nationals

Mike “Hit Man” Hill in his Nitrous Corvette qualified in the #3 spot in Super Pro Street running a 6.409 @ 219.76 at the 16th Annual Real World Street Nationals held in Orlando, FL October 31 - November 3, 2008. Mike took the win over the #1 qualifier Vinny Budano in the Final, running a 6.381 @ 128.84.

 

Tarrell Sinkler Goes to the Winner's Circle in Top Eliminator
at Capitol Raceway


Tarrell Sinkler behind the wheel
of the "Hooked On a Feeling" dragster owned by Troy Smith took the win in Top Eliminator at Capitol Raceway on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Tarrell dedicated this win in memory of "Tracy Green". Tarrell also wanted to express a special thank you to his grandfather Johnny Sinkler Sr. for introducing the Sinkler Family to drag racing.

in Pro Bike at Capitol Raceway

Fred Pullen Debutes His 1969 Chevy Camaro


Fred Pullen and his father Fred Pullen, Sr along with their team came out to Capitol Raceway in Crofton, MD on Saturday, November 1, 2008 to make a few test passes on their new 1969 Chevy Camaro. Fred made a couple of 8th mile passes before taking the car through the quartermile running a smooth pass of a 8.89 @ 155 mph. We look forward to seeing more from this team.

Jonathan Womack Wins Super Stock in Division 4 at
Thunder Valley Raceway Park



Jonathan Womack in his 2005 Chevy Cavalier ran a 8.91 @ 145.39 to take home the victory in Super Stock in the Division 4 Lucas Oil Race Series held at Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, OK on October 17-19, 2008. We Congratulate Jonathan on his win.

Ron Weems Qualifies #1 and Wins Outlaw 10.5 at
the PSCA Fall Nationals

Ron Weems in his 2005 Pontiac Grand Am wins in the Outlaw 10.5 Class at the PSCA Fall Nationals held on October 17-19, 2008 at the Las Vegas Motorspeedway. Ron started out his day running a 6.913 @ 204.82 to clinch the #1 qualifying spot. Ron is currently in the #2 spot in the points in Outlaw 10.5 Class with only one race left for the 2008 season he could possibility move to the #1 spot he currently 30 points behind the points leader. The next race is scheduled for November 7-9, 2008 at California Speedway in Fontana, CA. We Congratulate Ron on his outstanding victory.

 

Jimson Corsey Wins the National Dragster Challenge at ATCO Raceway

MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE

Levi T. Durham Sr., former drag racer and owner of Levi's (Soul Food) Restaurant, pasted away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. He was laid to rest on Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Mount Olive, NC. Our deepest condolences go out to the Durham family and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
