Vincent Fowler Doubles Up at Maryland International Raceway


Vincent Fowler - Top Sportsman & Top Eliminator Winner

Vincent Fowler behind the wheel of his 2000 Chevy Beretta and with his Crew Chief Lonnie Fowler under the hood tuning for every round were unstoppable on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Maryland International Raceway. Vincent went 5 rounds in Top Sportsman to turn on the win light in final; running a 5.17 on a 5.17 dial in.
Vincent then moved over to the Top Eliminator class were he picked-up two
round wins to a final round victory running a 5.18 on a 5.17 dial in.

Vincent and Lonnie showed that team work makes all the difference in winning races. We Congratulate both Vincent and Lonnie on there double victory.

G-Man Dyson doubled up on his wins at the Friday Night Invitational Race
held at the New Capitol Raceway on Friday, July 27, 2012.
G-Man behind the wheel of the "Reggie Power" Mopar took home
the win in the Door Car Invitational Race; which qualified him
to run against the Dragster winner. G-Man turned on the win light
in the Door Car/Dragster Final to claim another victory.

We Congratulate G-Man; car owner Reggie Roderick and
the entire Reggie Power Crew on an outstanding performance.

Marlon Jones of Survivor Motorsports will begin selling Raffle tickets @ $50 per ticket to win his 6 Second 698 Buck Racing Engine on Saturday August 4, 2012
during the Custom Ts Racing Grudge Fest at Maryland Intl Raceway.
There will be a drawing of 10 winning tickets; the final ticket pulled will be
the GRAND PRIZE Winner of the BUCK RACING ENGINE. The other 9 winners will receive cash/gift cards. The drawing for the Raffle will be held November 23, 2012
at the Survivor Motorsports/Custom Ts Racing Racers Party in Laplata, MD.

The United Black Drag Racers Association (UBDRA) thanks you for signing our new email list while you enjoyed the The ADRL Gateway Drags IV racing event at Gateway Motorsports Park in early June. The UBDRA has added other drag racing organizations and racing fans to our new mailing list too. Sad News: The United Black Drag Racers Association extends deepest sympathy and prayers to the members of the Coalition of Urban Drag Racers Association (CUDRA) in the passing of your member, Mr. Richard Moore, at the Thompson Raceway Park, in June. Our prayers and sympathy are also extended to Mr. Moore’s family and friends. From all accounts, he was a life-long lover of drag racing and a great man. We know your hearts ache at his passing.

Cancellation Notice: The August 11 and 12th 2012 annual race in Byron Illinois has been cancelled for this year. The UBDRA will not have a race this year at The Byron Raceway.

Mark Your Calendars: The 18th Annual UBDRA Black Sunday Weekend will be September 14, 15, & 16, 2012 at the Gateway Motorsports Park

The members of the UBDRA are looking forward to drag racing fans coming and enjoying the weekend at our annual family friendly event starting with Hospitality Friday through the fast and exciting races on Sunday.

The Black Sunday Racing will be at the recently opened Gateway Motorsports Park (formally known as Gateway International Raceway) in Madison, Illinois (just east, of St. Louis, Missouri – across the Mississippi River).

The Black Sunday Weekend Calendar of Events - Admission Costs and details about
Racing Classes and Purses will be released in about two weeks.
