Custom T's of D.C. Remembers the Families
of the Victims of the 210 Tragedy

Custom T's of D.C. gave out "Grand Marshall" awards to all the families of who lost love ones in the 210 Tragedy on Feb., 16, 2008; to let them know that their love ones will alway be remembered. During a pause of remembrance for Blaine Briscoe, Mark Courtney, William Gaines, Ervin Gardner, Maycol Lopez, Milton Pinkney, Otis Williams, and Daryl Wills . Shirley Alford sang "Praise the Lord" followed by the reading of a letter to the families by the Rev. Willie Carter, Pastor of the Kentland Baptist Church, Landover, MD. The letter read as follows:

Grand Marshall Awards Letter

The racing community would like to present the 2009 Doorslammer Open Grand Marshall award with loving memories to the families who lost Love ones on Feburary 16 2008 on route 210 in Accokeek, Maryland.

We must first give thanks to God, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We thank our honored guests for attending today's Event. Custom T's of D.C. together with  the Unity Thunder Car Club of Camp Springs Md, And the wonderful business partners and friends are Honored to present to you these fabulous Grand Marshall Awards.

We feel and share your loss, because your family members were part of our Drag racing  family. And we sincerely want to share this occasion to honor your  family members as God's Children.

This Doorslammer Open Grand Marshall Award is a symbol and reminder of the passion that your love one shared for the sport of Drag Racing. We like to  thank all the families for accepting this award on behalf of their family member who went home to God last year.

Lets pay our Respect, with a moment of silence followed by a special song in their remembrance (Precious Lord).

Custom T Of D.C. would personally like to thank everyone involved in supporting the families who are here today.

The families Perseverance- Courage- Honor and Unconditional Love for their loss family member is truly a testament of what God can do when you believe in him. Remember families and friends, Your prayers through God's eyes can heal all sadness and sorrows. Truly, someone whispered, Our God didn't bring us this far to leave us alone.
