The Small Blocks Get It On At Virginia Motorsports Park!

The small blocks were screaming as the Outlaw Small Block Association (OSBA) kicked off its inaugural race as a part of the Muscle Car Powerfest at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Virginia. Two rounds of qualifying were held on Saturday May 17, 2008 with eliminations on Sunday, May 18, 2008. Despite the threat of rain on Friday and again on Sunday, which kept some teams from attending, the die hard small block teams were there, ready to do battle and they did. "The racers are excited to have a venue to showcase their talents and let the crowd see the intensity of an all small block field" stated Bill Harris, President of the OSBA. "There has been lots of talk about the program and I believe the turnout shows us this program is here to stay." This was the first of a three race series for the OSBA, the next race is scheduled for September 27th. At the last event which is on November 1st & 2nd someone will be crowned OSBA small block of the year. The winner for this will be determined through a simple points system.

Due to rain just as finals were about to begin all classes split the winnings. The Brothers left standing in each class were:
