The Pro Slammers Open The Doors For Pro Mod
The Pro Slammers Door Car Association has just entered the world of Pro Modified drag racing with its new "Pro Mod Slammers" class. The PSDCA based on the west coast will now have some of the top teams competing for a 2012 Pro Slammers championship. Blown, nitrous and turbos entries will do battle on some of California's nicest tracks. With stops at Sacramento Raceway, Infineon Raceway and Famoso Raceway, the Pro Slammers will make their mark in the history books as one of the fastest door-slammer organizations in the world.
Bret Williamson set a Sacramento Raceway track record in his Team Eagle Motorsports Studebaker a couple years ago and looks forward to competing for the first Pro Mod Slammers championship. The well known Renteria Brothers will also be competing with the rest of the heavy hitting teams from the west coast. Not only will fans get to see Pro Modifieds, the Pro Slammers also feature the Radical 6.90 Slammers and the 7.60 Slammers, which are both 1/4 mile index classes. The PSDCA will get their season started on March 24-25th at Famoso Raceway which is only a few weeks after the March Meet, so the weather should be great and we expect to see some good numbers from these guys.
